INCOMAC has presented a kiln project nearing completion, equipped with the new mac EVO fully electric heat-pump drying system. The overhead door is designed to reduce the space needed for loading and unloading. According to the manufacturer, the kiln is designed for partial integration into the production facility to support process logistics.

SCM and Superfici presented a surface-finishing process for wood-based and mineral materials at Decortech. A laser engraves customised designs, textures and geometries, followed by a special coating and UV treatment that creates an ultra-matt appearance and a soft, silky touch. The process targets decorative wall coverings and furniture elements.

Following a supply contract for an IMP-VPX autoclave in Portugal, ISVE described a refined double-door design. The unit combines preservative and fire-retardant wood treatment with subsequent drying in the same chamber.

A Siemens PLC automatically controls the cycle. The system illustrates how two stages of timber preparation can be integrated into one machine.
