For what job?
Holes for dowels, rows of holes in side panels and preparation for selected fittings. For dedicated fittings, we check the aggregate, pattern and required drill bits.
MAGGI / SINGLE-HEAD BORING MACHINE BS 29

WHEN DOES THIS VERSION MAKE SENSE?
BS 29 extends the total reach to 896 mm with 29 spindles. We compare it especially for wider panels and longer rows of holes, where shorter heads require more repositioning.
Holes for dowels, rows of holes in side panels and preparation for selected fittings. For dedicated fittings, we check the aggregate, pattern and required drill bits.
The advantage of a longer head is only useful if your drilling pattern requires it. Also check support for the long board and the space around the machine; a larger model is not automatically the best choice for every workpiece.
SEMI-AUTOMATIC OPERATION DEMONSTRATION
From the drawing of the element to repeatable drilling.
Animated illustration of the principle; not to scale and not a substitute for instructions for safe use. The actual setup, tools and sequence depend on the equipment and the programme.
REFERENCE / DEPTH / DIRECTION

BS 29 uses removable side stops with digital counters for position reading.
For a pair of left- and right-hand elements, the reference edge must be defined correctly. The stop enables repeatable positioning; it does not decide which side of the element is the correct one.
Spiral System is a mechanical solution for depth setting. Height is read on a numeric counter. Hole depth and the height of its centre are different settings.
The head swivels pneumatically between 0° and 90°. Set the position, references and suitable clamping to suit the task. The same machine therefore covers different drilling directions.

The selected setting is useful for a series of identical elements. If the pattern, depth or fittings change, the settings must be adjusted and the first piece checked. This model does not store the full machining process as a CNC program.
WHAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE SELECTION?
The number of spindles is not the number of included clamps or drill sets. For fitting aggregates, we coordinate the drilling pattern and the corresponding tools.

Select the exact type of hinge or connector. Hole position and diameter are checked against its documentation. One aggregate is therefore not automatically suitable for all versions of the same fitting brand.

The maximum tool diameter does not mean that tools of that diameter can be used on all adjacent spindles at the same time. The arrangement, clamping and permitted tool combination are checked for your machining.

The drilling head span and the maximum panel width are different data. The span tells you the distance between the outermost spindles, while the format indicates the acceptable workpiece size. The drilling setup must also suit the stops and the tooling.
FAQ
This is a semi-automatic single-head multi-spindle boring machine. The operator prepares the settings and positions the part, while the mechanised drilling stroke is carried out by the head. The numerical counter is a position readout; it is not the same as a CNC axis or a stored program.
It is the distance between the centres of adjacent spindles. Use the positions and tools that match the drawing. This does not mean that every hole in the product must be 32 mm from the next one.
The manufacturer also shows a pair of elements up to 444 mm wide each for this model. The actual capability depends on the drilling pattern, stops, support and proper clamping. This is not a doubling of the maximum panel format.
Yes, when preparing the workshop, allow for the required compressed air, electrical supply and extraction. A power socket alone does not cover all needs. The connections and supplies are confirmed for the selected version.
The basic clamping list is not a complete set of drill bits for all operations. For an offer, state the hardware type, diameters and depths. On that basis, the additional units, drill bits and clamps are determined.

A PROPOSAL FOR YOUR WORKSHOP
For a useful quotation, we need the material type, dimensions of a typical element, the drilling pattern and the approximate quantity of products. Also state any existing tools and available connections.
If you have a drawing, you can send it to us after further agreement. Together we determine the basic machine and accessories your product actually needs.
