One process. Connected solutions.

Based in Rimini, Italy, Azzurra Impianti designs, manufactures and commissions industrial painting systems. Its woodworking range combines extraction booths and tables, painting rooms, coating drying rooms, air handling and transport. A standalone machine or complete installation is selected around the workpiece, coating, application method and workload.

AZZURRA / PROCESS

From preparation to a protected surface

Follow the principle of a finishing process. The steps explain the role of the equipment; the actual layout and timing depend on the workpiece, coating and project.

01 / Prepare and extract

During sanding, an AP booth or BA table extracts dust. The surface must be correctly prepared before coating.

Illustration of the principle, not a specific machine or operating instruction.

Sanding and extraction

Dust capture at source and preparation of the workstation before coating.

AP / BA — Sanding extraction booths and tablesAP / BA — Sanding extraction booths and tables

AP / BA

Sanding extraction booths and tables

AP captures sanding dust through a front labyrinth and antistatic polyester cartridges with automatic cleaning. The BA table has a workpiece-friendly surface, dust collection drawers and cartridge cleaning. These systems extract dust during sanding; the sanding tool is selected separately.

AP cleans its antistatic cartridges automatically and monitors blockage. On BA, cartridge cleaning is triggered by a button and dust collects in drawers. The booth and table therefore differ in everyday maintenance as well as their working arrangement.

Technical features
  • BA: length 2,000 or 2,500 mm; width 1,000 mm; working height 900 mm.
  • BA: 3 kW motor; airflow 3,800 m³/h.
  • AP and BA: 400 V / 50 Hz / 3-phase supply; IP55 electrical protection.

Application and painting rooms

From a standalone booth to a pressurised painting room: choose around the application, workpiece and workflow.

VP / VG · ECO VP / ECO VG — Water-curtain spray booths

VP / VG · ECO VP / ECO VG

Water-curtain spray booths

Recirculating water captures paint overspray, followed by glass-fibre filtration. VP uses a smaller, rear-set tank; VG has a larger tank. The catalogue also names the versions ECO VP and ECO VG.

Water circulates in a closed loop, with glass-fibre filters below the extraction fan. Valves regulate water circulation. Alongside the working opening, tank placement and access for cleaning are relevant selection factors.

Technical features
  • Differential pressure monitoring indicates filter blockage.
  • Fan with an anti-spark inlet; water recirculation pump.
  • 400 V / 50 Hz / 3-phase supply; IP55 electrical protection.
CFA / CF CARBO / CFC / BABY — Dry-filter spray boothsCFA / CF CARBO / CFC / BABY — Dry-filter spray booths

CFA / CF CARBO / CFC / BABY

Dry-filter spray booths

CFA combines cardboard and glass-fibre filters. CF CARBO adds activated-carbon filtration. The catalogue presents CFC with a Columbus filter; BABY is a smaller version on legs. Selection depends on the coating and workflow.

Modular galvanised panels form the booth walls and roof. CFA uses cardboard and glass-fibre stages; CF CARBO uses cardboard filters, synthetic filters and activated-carbon cartridges. BABY has a front cardboard filter and an elevated design on legs.

Technical features
  • Filter blockage monitoring and extraction fan.
  • 400 V / 50 Hz / 3-phase supply; IP55 electrical protection.
  • The CFC filter configuration must be confirmed in the quotation: the website and catalogue describe it differently.
COMBI-DRY — Front and floor extraction

COMBI-DRY

Front and floor extraction

This dry spray booth combines frontal and floor extraction. The manufacturer specifies four filtration stages and adjustable extraction. The suitable configuration depends on workpiece size, working position and coating application volume.

The dry design removes the need for a water tank to capture overspray. Used filters still require replacement and appropriate handling. The manufacturer does not publish a universal working size or airflow for this family; these are defined for the specific layout.

Technical features
  • Dry filtration without a water tank for overspray capture.
  • The extraction arrangement is matched to the painting process.
AZ — Pressurised painting rooms

AZ

Pressurised painting rooms

Filtered supply air and positive pressure help limit dust entering the room. Insulated panels, a distribution plenum and air extraction create a controlled painting environment. Heating is available in appropriately equipped configurations.

The air-supply unit can sit above or beside the room. Air passes through prefilters and the distribution plenum; a heating coil belongs to the heated configuration. One or two extraction columns remove vapours from the coated-product holding area. Room layout, doors and product routes are matched to your workshop.

Technical features
  • Separate painting and coated-product holding areas.
  • Digital temperature control and supply-air preparation.
  • Catalogue versions run from AZ 3×6 to AZ 6×14; the final layout is project-specific.
FLOW-COATING — Flow-coating application

FLOW-COATING

Flow-coating application

A tank, pump and shower apply coating with a low-pressure flow. Flow-coating differs from dipping and conventional spraying; suitability depends on workpiece geometry and coating properties.

The pump supplies coating to a shower used to flood the product. This is particularly relevant where the geometry makes conventional dipping impractical. Selection requires the coating type, product size and intended draining arrangement.

Technical features
  • For different shapes, including larger workpieces.
  • The manufacturer highlights easy colour changes and a smaller coating inventory than dipping.

Coating drying

Drying an applied coating or adhesive is a different task from reducing the moisture content of raw timber.

DEUMIBOX — Drying rooms for water-based coatings and adhesives

DEUMIBOX

Drying rooms for water-based coatings and adhesives

DEUMIBOX is intended for products treated with water-based coatings or adhesives. Dehumidification and control of recirculating air temperature support coating drying. It is not a kiln for reducing the moisture content of raw timber.

Technical features
  • The process must suit the coating or adhesive.
  • Room size and loading arrangements depend on products and batch sizes.

Air, energy and transport

Surface quality also depends on supply and extract air and the workpiece route through the process.

RC — Heat recovery from extract air

RC

Heat recovery from extract air

The RC unit uses a cross-flow heat exchanger. It recovers part of the extract-air heat for supply-air preparation. Actual performance depends on airflow, temperatures and operating hours.

RC uses cross-flow heat exchange between air streams to recover part of the ventilation energy. Actual performance depends on airflow, temperatures and operating conditions; no universal saving percentage is stated.

Technical features
  • Integrated into the overall ventilation design.
  • Savings are assessed for the project; no universal percentage is assumed.
BE — Air heating and cooling

BE

Air heating and cooling

Air-temperature units for painting rooms provide heating during colder periods and cooling during warmer periods. The catalogue identifies this range as BE.

Technical features
  • Matched to the pressurised system and coating requirements.
  • Capacity and operating conditions depend on the room, climate and production.
AZ · UTA — Air handling units

AZ · UTA

Air handling units

Air handling combines filtration, supply and, where required, temperature conditioning for the painting room. The unit is part of the complete air system, alongside the plenum and extraction.

Technical features
  • Selection follows required airflow and available space.
  • Access for filter servicing is considered in the layout.
AIR DIFFUSERS — Filtered make-up air

AIR DIFFUSERS

Filtered make-up air

A heating and ventilation unit drives air through a distribution duct with a synthetic filter. Supply air replaces extracted air and is sized together with booth extraction.

Technical features
  • Air distribution matched to the working area.
  • Part of coordinated painting-room air preparation.
CM / CMA — Overhead transport through the finishing line

CM / CMA

Overhead transport through the finishing line

Overhead lines move suspended workpieces between process stages. CM/CMA includes trolleys, hanging bars and automatic chain-driven versions, particularly useful for frames and joinery finishing.

The CM/CMA description includes two superimposed rails, swivelling trolleys and hanging bars for frames. An upper chain drives automatic travel, with electrical and pneumatic controls and a pedal. Route, load capacity and hanger spacing must be defined for your products.

Technical features
  • Rotation, lowering and line-transfer options depend on configuration.
  • Load capacity, spacing and cycle rate are specified for the workpieces.
CUSTOM SYSTEMS — Custom installations

CUSTOM SYSTEMS

Custom installations

Pressurised installations with low-level side extraction complement the standard range. Design starts with the workpiece, available space and connections between operations.

Technical features
  • Coordinated air supply, extraction and product flow.
  • Technical configuration and documentation are confirmed with the manufacturer.
